I used to feel that way but after a while it gets old and annoying. I just have little tolerance for it after a while.
Like when I'm in a shower at Bally's and this dude walks slowly by looking into my shower stoll. I wear shorts now and if a dude goes by more than once I ask him confrontationally, "is there anything I can help you with?" - because I'm enjoying both my "heterosexual shower" and my privacy - are you "feeling me?"
At that point, I'm ready for "go time" and we're not talking about homosexual go-time, we're talking about me opening up a can up "whoop ass." No one is entitled to make advances if I'm making my sexual orientation clear and if someone is going to give me "sheet" about standing my ground and asserting my intentions in a painfully clear way, I'll have no problem correcting him.
I get uncomfortable when a guy hits on me or checks me out. I really don't know how to react to it. I usually run to my g/f if she is there. Like a little kid running to his mommy and hidding.
That is too funny "help, the gay man is hitting on me"
(disclaimer: I goodcents am not picking on gay people, only thought is was funny the way it was stated, please do not read something into my response that is not there

It's not gay if...
You are drunk.
You are on E.
You have a knife or gun at your head.
You are thinking about a chick.
You are getting paid.
You are a porn-star.
You are related to the other person.
You are in outer space.
You are in prison.
You are on a deserted island.
You are the one "giving."
You are wearing socks.
You are sleeping.
You don't have money, and have to pay for bus fare.
You are just "trying it out."
You are upside down in a monkey cage at the zoo.
You were just at the gym, and a man asks to give you a ride home, and wants to touch your abs.
BTW, I'm not making fun of gay people, just people who have a doublestandard on their own beliefs.

No. Luckily, it hasn't come to that. I'm not into fighting really but I feel I have the right to stand my ground and make my position clear. I've gotten in people's faces about it though and usually that's enough that people will walk away with good clarity. I'm all for gays and tolerance but just don't direct your lifestyle at me.

Liar? About standing up for myself? It seems like such an act sounds far fetched to you. If you're the "back down" guy that's your thing and I'm not knocking that but let me tell you, there are many people out there that have no problems asserting themselves (and that's their right). If you find this hard to believe, than I would encourage you to have a little courage and assert yourself properly when you have to. Good luck.

I'd also like to add to that list, you're not gay if you feel uncomftable with gays sexually insinuating in a public place and if you assert your distaste for this type of behavior.

Who said that I want to fight? I don't. I don't have to show, in your words, that I'm "a straight tuff guy." That's just your interpretation of my behavior. My interpretation is different. I feel that I'm communicating my position on the matter, i.e., I'm making it clear that his behavior is going to lead to trouble and if he decides to push it further, he either "called my bluff" or he walked into a fight. It's his choice to make and it's my right to communicate. Most choose to walk away - I'm thinking because he is not looking for a fight - just a little man loving...and my shower stoll is the wrong tree to bark up.

Woman don't usually seem as bold or as crude as men in their advances. That's been my experience. I don't see women in the mens room looking in on me showering in the stoll. It's infrequent that a woman intrudes upon my physical space. A woman seem to insinuate in a more subtle and distant way and then it's up to a man to signal back or give a smile, or say hello....I don't think the two can be completely compared.

So I said to her "have you ever heard of the term sexual harassment." She tried to make a joke and says I think there is a 60 second rule. I didn't touch you for 60 seconds so it's OK. So I said how about I palm your tit for 60 seconds and we call it even. She gave me a weird look and turned around and walked out.

I believe there are definately differences between how males advance in comparison to woman. To say that woman tend to be more indirect then men is probably fair although the woman you are talking about are the exception to the rule. The most agressive a woman has gotten with me was to start a conversation or a few times in a bar getting a little touchy with usually the upper body (never got grab-assed).

These woman sound unique. Maybe they're an androgen-taking cult of some type.
