i never watch the yankees but its crazy the way they pitch..i wouldnt have half the control if i tried throwing like that. my buddy is a pitcher he said its a "safer" way to pitch..by not comin over the top keeps pressure off of ur shoulder and you can pitch more frequently..makes sense to me

The Mets can beat the tigers hands down..I think the story of the year will read something like this "Depleted Mets pitching staff wins world series". The Tigers have had to much time off and are to confident right now..

have you ever seen a pitchers arm in super slow-motion??? the elbow is the most disgusting looking thing in slow mo while they are pitching..its amazing that it doesnt just snap alltogether

the mets offense is great....at this point--if they win against the cards...they have NO pitching left....everyone is spent from this 7game series.

El Duque is coming back. Pitched 2 simulated games..... Has throwm 70+ pitches in the bullpen and Rick Peterson says his curve is biting real good.

If the mets win tonight..........Trachs starts game 1, Glavine Game 2, El Duque game 3. adding el duque is a big plus gives them another legit big game pitcher. guy is lights out in the post season.

no chance bro ........... The Tigers pitching staff is fvcking sick ....... plus they have the most under-rated lineup in the bigs .............. that TEAM is nasty .... and they will win the World Series regardless of who they play

I know ur just being a Mets fan ..... but the Mets cannot beat the Tigers in a 7 game series.

NO CHANCE TRACHSEL STARTS ANY GAME FOR THE METS EVER AGAIN. he took himself out of that game the other day & has been a paperweight in the bullpen ever since. el duke-glavine-maine & then rest is up in the air

We will see my friend..The mets linup is full of great fastball hitters and thats primarly what bondermen and verlander throw. The tigers bullpen is great but again they reley to heavily on the fastball which the mets slaughter.

who isnt a great fastball hitter ............. its the easiest pitch to hit man

Step out of the box for once and realize what you're saying. Yes the Mets have a great lineup, but great pitching beats great hitting anyday of the week.

The Mets also have the worst rotation this postseason, plus Billy Wagner is suspect.

If the Mets win tonight, they will lose in 5 or 6 games.
If the Cards win, they will lose in 4 or 5.

The Tigers bullpen is amazing. Look at the what the Cards bullpen has done to the Mets, and that bullpen is mediocre.

We will see how they react to the wrold series

I heard they are bringing back oliver perez on short rest, that should be interesting. home field advantage to the mets, pitching match up to the cards should be a great game

Whos pitching for the cards? Supan?

Oliver Perez was nasty when he was with the pirates, he was a highly touted prospect who struck out 230 batters in one season then had and injury and some confidence issues.
