    Software Engineering

Isn't this a part of Computer Science and not Computer Engineering?

Also, whats a good business degree to minor in if Im going to major in software engineering?

Does anybody have any clue? Im going to talk Monday with some people, but I just wanted to see if anyone on here had any info.

    Thanks.

software engineering is based more around and slanted to the methodology of programing, and the systematic application of solutions to meet the needs of the end user..

Computer engineering is the design portion making the hardware...

computer science means you went to college for 4 years and got alot of everything..

yah ... you want a degree in CS ... I usually recommend minoring in MIS to go w/ that just as a fall back. I hate programming personally... but good luck to ya.

The Engineering option is what most employers want to see, but if you intend on going into grad school to get a Masters of Software Engineering then Computer Science for undergrad is the better option. I personally will be graduating in december with a Wireless Software Engineering degree for my undergrad. My grad school will be Masters of Software Engineering with a concentration in Wireless data networks and information assurance.

    MIS is business correct?

I want to major in software engineering, and minor in business, and the MIS(managment information systems) looked like a good one to go for.

yah..i only suggest it as a minor because anyone in IT is always able to jump into IT management if they choose...for instants, i started off as an analyst and then became a manager... then went back to being a technical engineer cus it was more fun. IT industry LOVES managers with technical experience.
