    Suspended by the NFL for 4 games along with my fellow Detroit Lions linemen Shaun Rogers...no big suprise honestly for Merriman the dude is like 6'6 285lbs SOLID with the speed of most safeties. But damn I love him on the football field.

    It's stupid that he was doing it during the season so he'd get caught...wait until the offseason, pput on some mass, and you'll be fine, as they don't test as often than.

    i just think its stupid that they still test for that shit in the NFL. personally i'd like to see the best football players on earth, not the best drug free football players on earth. if you're doing something that doesnt harm anyone else then who gives a fvck.

    Exactly right GUnit! And it's also stupid because now it's a federal offense to take or be in possession of steroids without an Rx from a doctor. He could very well be prosecuted for this if he obtained the drugs illegally. "Stuck on Stupid!"

    Beat me to the punch. Anybody have a link to the NFL's steroid policy? I'm curious to see how strict it really is, I would think more guys would be coming up positive if it was.

    The majority of players are on something... The testing is years behind the development of performance enhancing drugs to beat the testing... Just use common sense.. Where do you think the money is and where do you think the chemists who are able to develop performance enhancing drugs are going to go? Remember THG?

    Shaun Rogers from my hometeam Lions got suspended for diet pills so did the gaurd from the Falcons, I think I heard it was ephedrine. Thats kinda messed up man...

    aparently according to his lawyer he tested positive for nadrolone because of a supplement he is going to appeal his suspension

    Even if he did use it in the off-season it wouldn't matter, he tested positive for nandrolone or deca durabolin which can be detected up to 18 months later, so it's his own fault. He says it was in one of his supplements, haha, but it has to be injected.
