oh it will offend someone who can't type and get locked (of course maybe they could just do what I did and print out a "typing" keyboard and practice while they type, but hey to each their own ) A dictionary is really cheap too, they even have second hand ones too if you are broke like me

I think it probably has gotten better, I dont usually use lil abreviations and internet slang. I try to compose proper sentances so people can actually understand what I am trying to say. However, My spellin certainly has gone the the pooper

As a linguist, I am shocked at the spelling mistakes made by supposedly native English speakers. Grammar isn't such an issue, unless it's confusing - but spelling mistakes can really make a post unintelligible. Sometimes, I'll use Internet abbreviations and such, but I always read over my posts before submitting to check for spelling errors and to make sure it's understandable.
