Typing on the internet has improved your grammer/punctuation ect?

I think it probably has gotten better, I dont usually use lil abreviations and internet slang. I try to compose proper sentances so people can actually understand what I am trying to say. However, My spellin certainly has gone the the pooper

I've discovered how flagrantly ineffective the average individual's penmanship or typing skills actually are. Perhaps they are oblivious to this fact.

As a linguist, I am shocked at the spelling mistakes made by supposedly native English speakers. Grammar isn't such an issue, unless it's confusing - but spelling mistakes can really make a post unintelligible. Sometimes, I'll use Internet abbreviations and such, but I always read over my posts before submitting to check for spelling errors and to make sure it's understandable.
