20 rep squat program aka SUPERSQUATS

    has anyone tried these...

    basically you
take your 10 rep max and do it for 20 so you may take like 5 minutes to do a set
the workout is 1x20 for squat
each session you go up 5lbs
    3 sessions per week
    6 week workout

it is suppose to put on 30lbs on in 6 weeks.... and most peoople have put on about 20 average..

and for whoever has done it, where do you start??? Some were sayin start at your max 10 reps put i dont think that would be right

If i started at 500 for 20 reps that would be insane to add 5 lbs per week that would mean my last session would be 585 for 20!! good joke and tom platz did 500 for 23 and that was considered awesome so i dont no where to start?

never been a fan of high rep work.

I did something similar for a while though many years ago. Took a weight I could squat for 10 reps with and had a buddy assist me for 10 more. Worst thing I have ever done in my life. After the set I fell down to the floor and could not stand up for 5 minutes.

I think it would be risky to do it nowdays with heavier weights. The more tired you get the worse the form.

Those higher rep sets are death! I had a little puking incident last workout and I included a heavier set (with the normal squat. I usually do the smith machine) and my poor knees.

dont know about the exact figures but i used something like this for a while.the high reps helped me increase my poundages in the lower heavy sets.

yea i may try it when i want to add some weight to my frame...if it doesnt work its only 6 weeks so ohh well, but a high majority of people say it works

mainly just 1 all out set of 20

i think swolecats was 5 sets of 20 which is a little different cuz you cannot go all out on every set you have to save some but im guessing they both work pretty well
