Against sweating? Did anyone get it done?
Any problems?
And is it a procedure I could do while on cycle?

Never heard of that. But I'm in the same boat, I sweat profusley from my armpits. Even sitting down relaxing my shirt will be drenched. Its getting anoying. The only thing I have seen is to have surgery on your sweat glands, but that is a complicated operation. They have to put you under in cut into your chest.
I've heard of this. I would try other alternatives before I went this route. Do you trim/shave your pits? There are also otc antipersperents out there that you only need to use like once a week becasue it closes your sweat pores. I'd try those first before using botox.
I found this link, I guess you were right.

What kind of OTC AP's are you talking about? Sounds interesting.
I've tried everything and nothing works any good......its not smelly but the stains on my clothes are just horrible, especially on dress up ocassions....Originally Posted by DNoMac
Its not risky, there's no recovery time, and it doesn't cost a whole lot, but you have to do it every 6 months-1 year....Originally Posted by king6
since I did my cycle,I have to take like 3 showers a day because I smell all the damn time.I think I might try this
Yeah definitly. The whole sweating thing is getting anoying. I have to wear t-shirts undermy shirts, and stuff paper towels under my arms. Or wear dark colored clothing. Not to mention I get dehydrated all the damn time.
Just use Drysol.
I use that. I even run a little on my ches so i dont sweat thereOriginally Posted by Animal Cracker
you can get RX deodeorant that doesnt make you sweat
Botox runs upwards of $600 per arm so thats $1200 for both, plus it needs to be redone every 6 months, so if you're rich it would be ok (it is generally safe) but if not, it would probably break the bank. If you actually had a sweating problem though like from your hands, feet, etc. you could have a condition called hyperhidrosis and there are surgeries to get sweat glands removed. But if its not that severe, use drysol.
I get sweating problem but only if I am anxious. If I feel nervous about something (like an interview or public speaking) I sweat big time but only under my arms. wierd huh?
I use drysol too. It works great and almost any doc will prescribe it for ya, plus its pretty cheap.
Actually botox is alot cheaper here...Originally Posted by prncezzml
As for hyperhidrosis you're correct, but removing the sweat glands frequently causes you to compensate the sweating and make it alot worse in another part of your body, plus the procedure is not minor at all, trust me I've looked into it![]()

As for Drysol, I have never heard of it. But will definitley check it out.
i dont have a problem with armpit sweat, although my face can get swamped, now thats annoying.
I get the armpit thing as well. I dont even buy white undershirts anymore because its just gross to see them yellow stains. I sometimes wear wife-beaters but then i stain whatever shirt i am wearing.
I think i might try totally shaving the arm pit hair then use that drysol crap you guys are talking about.
Does it have to be prescribed or is it OTC ?
i guess i have to go to the doc. Man i hate going to him.
What is Drysol?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Drysol (brand name for aluminum chloride hexahydrate) is a prescription medication commonly prescribed for excessive sweating. A fairly common problem, excessive sweating can be limited to the armpits, but often affects the palms and soles of the feet as well. Once a person has tried several different kinds of over-the-counter antiperspirants without success, doctors often recommend Drysol.
Drysol is reported to work in 80 percent of the people who use it for excessive sweating. Doctors generally recommend applying it to problem areas after drying the skin completely. Wearing it only at bedtime and then washing it off in the morning with plain water reduces the chance of skin irritation.
Generally, treatment is repeated nightly until sweating is under control. This may happen after just two or more treatments. Thereafter, you can apply Drysol once or twice weekly or as needed.
Drysol should not be applied to broken, irritated, or recently shaved skin. Nor should it be used with regular daytime antiperspirants or deodorants. Once the excessive sweating has stopped, you can try using your regular underarm products again.
EDIT
They sell it on ebay !![]()
Drysol is good its OTC now. I also tried one called Maxim before I got it off the internet, I have terrible anxiety and it definitley helps. Sometimes it itches though because your armpit gets sooo dry.
P.S. I've read that the botox makes you feel nauseated. I've never gotten it done though so I dont know from personal experience.
