Sweet vid man... I watched some pretty tiny guys and chicks at the common wealth games tossing up some pretty sick poundages. Couldn't believe these guys. There was this chick... i think she was a buck 20 and she cleaned 275 after like 2 attempts. Here i was thinking. Jeez.. i clean 225... 275 is more than some guys squat. Werd.
"Are we sure it's not fake?" lmao.
Does anyone here follow olympic lifting?

I started to a bit. Its insane how much weight they throw around at low body weights. They are also extremely athletic as a result. It's extremely challenging to get the form down though which is why you need to start young if you want to be successful.
Marcin Dolega set a new world record in the snatch in the european masters recently, 199kilos (438 lbs or so) at 105kilo or 231lbs.
heres the link: (if it doesnt work just search dolega on youtube)

Have you seen him nark? Unbelievable.
I can hangclean 325 for 1 or 2 now but he Clean & jerked 579.7lbs in athens 2004 like it aint no bodies buizzznesss.
AND have you seen that chinese heavyweight woman lifter? Shes 270lbs I believe and she clean & jerked 401lbs in athens 2004!!! Thats insane.
I've also read that olympic weightlifters have the highest vertical jump of any other sport athletes, even highjumpers, aswell as super times in the 20-40yrd dashes.

wow, the deads were impressive, as was the squat..
but i hate it when they use a shirt on the bench.. i understand it... and with his genetic and physical build, the bar only moves 6".. but all's fair..
Will give him credit.. for that size, that strength is incredible..The answer to your every question

no its not fake at all, his name is Caleb Williams, hes a freak, he only 22 y/o i believe
yea i think bench shirts are pretty dumb, but you cant hate on that squat and especially the deadlift, there isnt anything to increase your deadlift numbers like their is for bench
-
11-15-2006, 06:39 PM #25
i don't doubt his strength, but he doesn't look like he weighs 148.

i totally give that guy credit for being that strong...but shit on his bench press he lowers the weight, what 5 inches? his entire back was off the bench.
the dead and squat was insane.

You know how some guys say they watch ronnie or Jay's training Vid and gets their blood boiling?
Watching olympic lifts does it for me.
i started doing cleans after i saw that lilttle chick cleaning 275.
That was crazy!

Thats great, awesome at such a young age etc.
But for me powerlifting has no real inspirational/motivatioanl value. The range of motion on the deadlift and bench are just so limited. The squat is great. But powerliftin just does nothin for me.

Wow, good job for him. His form sucks, but it's still an impressive amount of weight he's pushing. I wonder how much he could bench if he were to pack on 40-50 lbs of muscle?
