Mac vs. Pc
I have a sony Vaio laptop and was thinking about making an upgrade. my girl use to have a mac a couple of years ago, but I didn't really like it. The other day at school this girl was telling me that I could get a mac and just put windows on it and I would like it better. Any of you guys switched over? What are your opinions?

I personally love macs..
But i think it depends what you want to do with it too..
Part of my job has to do with designing advertisements, therefore the MAC is necessary..

basicly, if u need to use programs that mac support only, then buy a mac with the option of the windows partition but if u want for general use get a PC because alot of programs off the internet are not for mac and pc. and if u wanted to play games there are very limited to mac. but if u need mac get one with windows. if u do not NEED then just get a pc

I used to have the a G4 powermac, Now I have yer average PC desktop... I used the G4 for my daily doins, and for home use, what the average person uses it for, it was a good system. not too many people want to make a spreadsheet or whatever, the average person wants to make and play music, video files and picture files and play about on the internet.

so..i'm not gonna read everyone elses... they rock for graphix and video editing...other than that... they have no use on a primarily windows networking world.

Right now im running an Ibookg4...I take it to class and where ever i go, wireless airport internet, FOR FREE. superdrive dvd player burner, FOR FREE. there are much more aditions to the mac then windows. Oh and the big thing called NO VIRUSES EVER. Macs are like impenitrable, how many people have had to reinstal all their shit cause they clicked the wrong thing. Theyre much more handy, and i love them...

mizfit i noticed u sed it is a necesity to have a mac because you design advertisements. Why is this? I've always heard macs are good for design and music and stuff.. but why?
