    Best weight belt

What do you think are the best weightlifting belts? Leather, Nylon, contoured or not contoured?

I think APT has some pretty good belts.

yeh the velcro fastening belts are pretty good IMO as ones waistline tends to vary

I only have used the leather one at the gym, and don't quite care for it. Maybe it's worn out, or the wrong size? It just feels very uncomfortable...

The velcro belts suck. I been using one and can't wait to change. When i am doing really heavy dead's or squats the belt always shifts which is a no no.

my roomate never uses a belt either... his midsection is like an inron furnace.. he hasnt used one for the 8 years hes been lifting, I think that his midsection is up to par with his squat and deadlift in a way that a hernia is nearly impossible..

'Nearly' isn't good enough for me. I thought my core was too strong and it could never happen (I'd occasionally squat over 5 w/never using a belt), until I saw a buddy of mine who also had never used a belt (I've seen him squat 500+ w/o) and he got a hearnia reppin 315.

    Scary sh*t
