    What to look for in a good wireless router ?

    I am getting one but what do I look for in a good one ?

    Wireless N technology is new to the market. I'd look into that. It should be backwards capatable with Wireless G and B.

    Aswell, WPA is good enough for wireless security. I wouldn't buy a router that only has WEP encription anymore.

    I'm not familier with the new Cisco routers, but I've always loved the older units. Definately Cisco is my favorite brand. Linksys has some nice routers aswell.

    link sys is best...cisco is great if you got the bank...but it's usually over complicated and not quite as reliable as linksys for your average user

    After you flash the firmware to something more robust.

    I have 4 GS's running various 3rd party firmwares.

    No they really are good. I have been waiting for Cisco to actually incorporate some of their skills into the Linksys line.

    For my personal use though, I run an 877 with wireless and Advanced Enterprise Security IOS. But that is pricey for most. . .

    I just bought a LinkSys Router WRT54G for my laptop, works GREAT. Highly reccomend it
