    Ferret Sick, Need Help!

Okay so basically my girlfriend's ferret is really sick, and I would like some help on what to do for you ferret people out there. Basically, I guess he was throwing up yesterday, tired, looked dehydrated. She said he looked a little better today, and said he didn't throw up last night. Taking him to the vet would cost a lot and if this keeps happening tomorrow I will pay for it because a life has no price in my opinion. But I don't know, when I talked with her on the phone it didn't sound, reassuring you know? She seemed confused and I'm freaked out. I love that little guy... Does this happen to ferrets usually? Like is he just sick with the flu, or is it something a lot more serious? I'd rather ask you guys for advice before taking him in. They are taking care of him, seperated him from his brother (by the way he's not eating or drinking), so they have been force feeding him some stuff a vet recommended awhile back with her old ferrets that is good for sick ferrets and forcing water down. I hope it's just the flu, but please guys, I need help.

ferrets are pretty hardy little guys usually, he sounds sick enough that I'd take him to a vet if he was mine.
