I have to say that training for strenght is alot more fun than training for size. Nowdays I have the attittude that if it aint fun why the **** would I do it. So I only train for strenght and I havent looked back one second.

My descision is also because I just dont have it in me to be especialy big. So I might aswell become strong instead.

What do you think is most fun?

Most of them strongman are fat though, a couple of them look awsome.

Strenght and size doesnt always go hand in hand. There are alot of powerlifters at my gym, and some of them can bench 600ibs+ witouth being that BIG. I mean they are not small, but when they are being seen in public or whatever, no one will go; Wow... thats a big dude!!

strongmen train for Functional str while PL'rs use more of a CNS training style where they TEACH their body to do a motion in the most effective manner, their myofibrils contract in a more unison pattern allowing them to lift more weight w/ less muscle mass. this is most true for streamline or SIMPLE motions such as squat/dead/clen 'jrk/bench and other similar motions
but when ur picking up a 325lb stone or flipping a bulldozer tire, or playing finicky fingers.. UR NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO RELY SOLEY ON A PIMP ASS CNS to get you by.

thats all fine and dandy but i dont have anyone to teach me how to flip tires or fingers or stones
although it would be nice to do it

but those guys are so big because they train functional strength in all they do...
i mean their primary aim isnt to get big... they just got big because of all the stress their muscle's receive

who would get bigger faster then - a strongman, a powerlifter, or a bodybuilder?

They are both equally satisfying I think. I def getted amped when I throw up big weight, but at the same time, "it's like cumming" when I get a sick pump from lifting.

Aye, I believe a "good complete" workout and training program will consist of both. I started out mostly just trying to get strong, now Im turbo strong, but Ive been bulking up and gaining size. It just seems to come and I love it!
