Will the Playstation 3 sell for more closer to christmas than now??

I was wondering if you think the Playstation 3 will sell for more closer to christmas than it is now? currently you can buy a PS3 for an average price of $900 bucks on ebay! sometimes $800... thats only 2-3 hundered dollars over retail (599) plus when paypal and ebay take there cut thats not much of a profit at all. before launch on nov 17th they were selling for thoasands at least 2 G's on an average. but after launch they took a crash nose dive in what they sell for? Me and my friends together managed to get 10 ps3's and we are decideing to sell them now and only make a few bucks or wait until like 2-3 weeks before christmas and then list them on ebay and hopfully they will be selling for more again? what do you thaink we should do?

methinks it'll spike again but not as bad. i think a dark cloud is covering the ps3 right now, and the more general consumers know that worse off sony will be.

From what i've read there's going to be quite a few more coming to north america before the end of the year so I could see ebay sales dying down.

It might go up around Christmas. Depending on if it's going to be good or not.

Personally if I had one, I'd hold onto it for alittle while longer and try to sell it around christmas. I don't think it will get nearly as high as it was. Might be above 1K again?

True, Sony is planning on bring more out again closer to Christmas from what I've read on other forums.

But if it's not enough systems again, and there is great support for the system, then it may sell for high amounts again.

Either way, I really don't think it will sell for much over 1K around christmas.

plus keep in mind that ebay is pretty much keeping shipping free for ps3's since a lot of people price gouge. try craigslist and see if anyone in your area wants one - that way you can make your 900 or so with no cuts to anyone else

True. The Wii and 360 have been selling like crazy. The Wii has alot of publicity, and is really kicking ass. It will have more games on the market than PS3 before christmas.

problem is that there are about 20,000 ps3 on ebay for sale. with that large of a supply, the price is not gonna go anywhere but down. i was thinking the same thing that the price would be at about $3000 by now and tried talking to a few people when it launched to try and get one but now im glad i didnt try and drive to a store and try and wait in line and waste my time. id say about 90% of the ps3 sales when it launched were people buying it to put it on ebay. last few years it was good idea with 360 and maybe others systems to make money because it was new idea and not many people did it but now buying the system and trying to price gouge doesnt look to be working too well. its funny seeing the hundreds of members daily on ebay start the bidding of a ps3 at $1500 or some higher rediculous price and not get one bid....
