why are PM screened and or edited? i thought they were private? i respect this board and treasure being part of it but my PMs should be just that, PRIVATE!!

maybe im wrong, but as I just PM some one with info in it ,and that info was changed so as to not be of use. whell it looked like a name and a web address had been removed.
hope im wrong. i support AR but I should be able to give info in a private manner from one bro to another.

Certain words are automatically edited, this includes swear words and some websites etc. It would be virtually impossable to screen all the PM's flying around the mambers here 24/7!!

i understand that , even makes sense on the open board but info in a pm i belive should not be edited, and when the day comes that i win the mega lottery i will fix that. J.K. thanks all.

dude many UGL's and wed sites are automatically edited. There is no way the mods or the owner on this board would have time to read every PM flying around the place. I am not saying thay cant do it, but what I am saying is why the hell would they bother.

yes i understand this now but it kind of a downer that you cant put the info in the pm form. i understand board policy i just didnt know it applied to pms.

everything is screened one way or the other not necessarily by admins here, but even government figures, like Xtralarge said, if their are specific joining words regarding, for instance, assassinating the president, bombs, whatnot, they are picked up and then you are watched. my uncle was actually on the first group of guys to right the specific program, he is a freakin genius
