I don't know for certain Bro, but I don't think so in a general sense. If your liver is injured like by trauma then it must be able to sense pain, but I do know that if the liver is diseased, or people are terminal, then the liver does not emit pain signals to the brain. People that have liver disease do not feel pain, just a feeling of illness.

I have hep c from a bad blood transfusion in the field from the military and I never feel pain. If my liver values upswing, either on their own, or from cycling, or diet, whatever, it can swell up, but never expresses in any pain.

But, do you know where your liver is?? Most people assume it's a lot lower than it actually is!! Your liver is actually almost entirely behind your rib-cage!!

i have felt pain in my liver before/ liver is under the rt side of your rib cage

It may not have been pain in your liver you were feeling. A liver will swell when it is having problems and that swelling usually will push against something such as the edges of ribs and that is the pain/discomfort felt.

The liver doesn't have nerve endings that are needed to transmit pain. Punches to the liver area are trauma to the covering of the liver, which when stretched may signal pain, or push the liver into surrounding structure which can cause pain.

i was having these weird pains in my lower abs, which i assumed was either my liver or my kidneys, but apparently this particular area is where my appendix are



i suppose being on nearly 2000 mgs of oral gear a weak will do it to ya, huh?
