Ebay or craigslist may be your best bet.

Ebay has alot of great deals. You should be able to easily find a older Civic for 3k.

I might just talk to my old boss from back in the day. If some of you didn't know, there is actually a Black Book, as well as a Blue Book. The black book is for whole sale dealers, then they sell the cars at blue book prices. I am going to give him a call and see what he can do for me.

Again, it is for wholesale car dealers. If you work at a dealership, then you probably are just going by the regular book, and are new to the game. Wholesaling is where you make quick money! You go to an auction, buy the car for black book, and sell it to the dealer for blue book, then they up it a little more, but you have to have connections in the business.

Just google Black Book or something to that effect!

It's also what the banks use when financing. My credit union showed me when I bought my car.

Yup. I have 2 old black books (89 + 93.) Lists wholesale prices for cars.

I used to go to insurance auctions with my neighbor who would by writen-off cars and repo cars, then fix them and resell them.

Yea man i know all about the business, ive just never seen that book. My dads got a shop, and a dealer license so he sells used cars also. He gets them from dealer auctions, i'm registered at an online auction. He just happens to use the NADA book which has retail pricing, and estimates what he wants to pay from there, rather than referring to a book that has wholesale prices in it. Do you know the brand, maybe I should look into it.
