Spring Break Ideas?

I had plans to go on a cruise for spring break, but it fell through because I needed to get a passport in order to leave the country (aside from northern mexico).

Does anybody have any ideas on a fun, but descently priced spring break? What have you done in the past?

I am looking to spend $1000 total and would be flying or driving out of PHX, AZ.

I'm spending 2 weeks in China, and a 2 weeks in the US. We get much better Spring breaks than you guys in the US (a month, my girlfriend at UVM gets like a week )

You can get an expedited passport. I got mine in a little over a week.

Cost, in addition to regular application fees, is $60 per application plus overnight delivery costs.
Two-way overnight delivery is strongly suggested.
If you mail in - clearly mark Expedited on the envelope.
Anyone may request expedited service for any type of application (e.g., first-time applications, renewals, amendments of existing passports, etc.)

After you apply - You will receive your passport: Ordinarily, if you paid additionally for expedited service and two-way overnight delivery within about 2 weeks.

I really think the all-inclusive resorts in Mexico are the best for the money. I went to Playa del Carmen for a cousin's wedding in the summer, and for my boyfriend and I (plus baby but she didn't count), it was like 3200 with tickets and all hotel, food and drinks. We stayed at a 5 star hotel so I'm sure you could get even cheaper than that.

co-sign. Wifey and I just got back from 7 days at the Adventuras Spa Palace (5 star). It was all-inclusive (6 restaurants on premises plus snorkeling, kayaking, horseback riding, and all watercrafts were included). Lots of fun!!!

lol... It's actualy a big trailer park on the river! It's not a redneck spot though. It's a huge party. It's alot like Havasu just more low key. I have yet to find a better place.

I went to the mayan riviera last year and our trip was close to that price at a 5 star as well. The a la cartes were excellent, the beach was extremely clean and the resort overall was about the nicest i've been to. I can't wait to go back down again.
