Security
I know that some websites store IP addresses and some don't but if a website does not store your IP when you visit their site does it still get stored through the cable company from the modem?

it's called logging...and unfortunately almoost all network devices and servers have teh capability to log ip's. But i woudln't worry about the cable company. It would take dozens' of people 100's of hours to go through it all. And they realyl have no profitable reazon to do that.
