Juicer
I am thinking about buying a juicer in the U.S.
Does anyone recommend one over the other?
Any experiences welcome...

I got my wife one. It grinds the seeds and everything into the juice... needless to say that does bad things to the taste. They have some pretty simple machines that basically helps you squeeze the life out of a fruit... and the seeds get filtered elsewhere; we ended up gettin' one of those too. Otherwise, the other is good for seedless stuff - or if you pull them out prior. For reference, seeds kill the juice if they get mixed in...

I bought a juicer. I wanted the Breville b/c of the reviews but i bought the Jack Lalanne b/c of the deal I found.
Simply put, I love it. I have made 3 pitchers of juice so far and it is a great addition to my diet. Here is an example of one 'lemonade' size pitcher:
apple
carrot
pear
pineapple
zuchinni
cucumber
strawberry
rhubarb
I drink it with my breakfast (Oatmeal & eggs). I have already noticed a difference in my hair and skin (color, moisture). I also had some before a leg workout with protein powder and enjoyed the energy. I don't think I will be buying bottled juice any time soon.
Clean up is the only down side to it. I get it all cleaned up and put away in about 15 minutes. I hope to cut that time down as I get more familiar with the machine.
I haven't done it yet but I have decided to save my fiber pulp from the carrots and bake it into some nut bread or corn bread. Maybe a dash of wheat germ in there, too.Last edited by Primalinstinct; 01-31-2007 at 04:57 AM.
