    Golfers??

    YO!

Anybody play golf often? I've been playing for 12+ years. About to do my first ever cycle - will this affect my golf game? Will my enlarged pecs/delts/biseps/traps get in the way of my swing? Will the increased distance make up for the decreased feel? Just wondering..... Thanks.

Seems like you've already answered your own question. If you've been playing for 12+ years and have never done a cycle then you already know how lifting may have effected your game. I play and lift and have done several cycles and can say that it has changed by swing rotation, that I'm 'tight' in my swing and its changed my 'touch' feel on my short game somewhat as well. However cycling effects one point of your game concentrate on picking up strokes with your short game and two putting -- you'll still stay even, or maybe pick up a stroke, or two.

This is what i was afraid of. I already have a "tight" swing. Naturally, I am incredibly inflexible. So I never get paralell during my backswing to begin with. Some people say I look like im always chipping nomatter which club. Whatever.... We'll just have to adjust.

Hey Bro ... Don't worry about knocking down 275 yd tee shots -- so what!? I gave up trying to get long distance and focused on my fairway shots and putting and you know what? I knocked about 6 strokes off my handicap. That's okay with me. But ................. I'd love to knock down 300 yarders!! LOL

Certainly changed my game, I can definitly hit the ball further since I am bigger there is no doubt, but the fact is "driving is for show, putting is for dough" !!!!

Isn't that the fvkin truth! I got a new putter last season - one of those "see more" putters. Its got a black shaft and a red dot on the heel of the putter, so you know if the red dot is hidden, the putter is square. It's been a fvking miracle! Inside of 10 or 12 feet ive gotten so much better.

I played golf in college, 2 colleges actually, but ive used up my eligibility so I can't play competitively anymore. So I don't really care if my cycle messes things up a bit, ill adjust.

Drive for show - put for dough! Now Im getting pumped - how long till winters over?

What the hell's the matter with you Bro? Use flourescent balls so you can find them in the snow! It doesn't snow much where I live, but we've played in patchy snow and certainly ground wet and soft enough that when the balls landed they buried in the turf. Crappy scores but a lot of laughs.

at a certain point ur size would affect ur game, but only gaining 15lbs or so isnt going to be too much of a big deal. get 240+ then u might start to have some problems. in terms of hitting further, thats mainly flexibility, u can be 140lbs and flexible and drive 300+ easily...

I can't believe Tiger won another one today. I don't even think it's fair anymore. He's just too damn good.

You shouldnt have any problems when you get bigger. Like they were saying you will probably notice that you hit the ball farther. But if your swing stays the same than added muscle will only help imo.

I'd say the great majority of golfers would have a definite disadvantage in getting bigger and not having it effect the mechanics of their game. Regardless, a big bb will lose flexibility, hence you won't be able to get your club back far enough on your backswing, nor as far in rotation on your follow through, nor keeping your hips in place without developed a**ominals pulling them along with the rotation. Just a reality of getting big.

haven't you ever read FLEX? when you use muscle-tech and lift weights you become ever more flexibly, and of course cell-tech is even more anabolic than any gear so you'll be good to go.

It's called "see-more." They can be pretty expensive, but sometimes you can find a deal.

The dudes in those long-drive competitions use drivers that are like 5 feet long. They're almost impossible to hit - Ive tried. But if you do hit it, the long shaft gives so much intertia/momentum????, you can kill it.

Actually Bro, it's called leverage. I saw a demo once where this guy was teeing off using a driver that had to of been at least 8 foot long. His swing was intentionally slow but when he hit the ball it went well over 350 yards. The point of the demo was to show what leverage could do with a controlled swing.
