dam it on friday i was broke into. They took my laptop and my xbox.

Thing is that i always make it home on a friday night no matter how drunk i get but on this occasion i stayed at my mates house only to return home the next day and find that id bin done over.

freaken thiefs......get the drop on one in my home and its lights out for the thief. i store some of my weapons and junk at a bros surplus store. the weapons are mostly wwII bolt rifles, i keep there....most are locked in safes, but a few i had out for sale......he got broke into and in less then 10 minutes, before the cops responded to the scene,,,,the bastards got 6 of mine and 10 handguns from my bro. they were caught...weeks later...no guns were every recovered....the 2 punks were under 18...no jail time and were ordered to pay restition...its been years...not a penny....both punks moved up in crime and are now in angola state pen for armed robbery....

hey bud..sorry to hear...but there are some good news. if hes not smart enough to spoof his MAC or change the NIC when he surfs..u can easily track the laptop via its MAC . please suggest this to the law enforcement agency ...which u should contact

i forgot to mention..in case you dont know your MAC addy ..contact your ISP and ask them..in case the tech dosent know what youre talking about..ask to speak to management.

Sorry to here that, My detached garage got broke into three days before christmas. They got my sons new racing bike, a computer, and some yard stuff. Two weeks later, I heard something in the back yard, sue enough it was some dude lookin in the windows of the garage. I told my wife to call the police, while i went and got a pellet gun. This is not a regular pellet gun, it shoots about 1200 fps. That dude went through my fence runnin when he got hit. The police never came.

My father gave me his 10mm colt elite for my B-day a while back and if that thing was stolen i'd literally cry. Means alot to me.
And allthough the value of that pistol is only around $1500 you couldn't offer me $20,000 to sell it today, much less have some pnk repay me for it.

hey thanks. Could u elaborate a little ? I iant sure what my ISP can do. Im guesing the NIC would not of bin changed and may not be online yet. I was thinking if I knew the IP address for the computer id ping it but it aint a static addy so cant do it

If you still have the box your laptop came in, there is a pretty good chance that the MAC address (aka NIC interface address) is written on the outside of it along with the computers serial number.

i think i threw the box away. The only thing i still have is the recipt which only has - Auth No / App ID / PAN Seq No / Merchant No / TID No / EFT No / and Cryptograrg
