suicide this is messed up

ok listen to this... this guy keeps texting/ calling/ leaving voicemails on my g/f's phone about how he wants to commit suicide this has been going on for like a month, i've been with my g/f since high school and this is some random guy she met in college anyway the problem is he sometimes comes on to her and other times he tells her he's going to kill himself this and that... the phone bill is getting racked up b/c of all the texts and believe me i've tried to get him to stop but how do you handle a situation like this.. i dont want to do something and then have him end up dead ... man why does this crap happen to me .. wtf.

Easy, just tape the conversation and then call the Department of Health
protective care. This gentlemen needs to be institutionalized, some meds
he needs help. If you care about yourself and him. I'm sure you don't
want something like that following you around the rest of your life.

If you are that concerned for him, then call a suicide hotline or the cops. better to do something and know you tried then to hear he did it and wish you would have done something...its obvious he needs help

Definitely call the police. Don't feel bad if he does kill himself... it is not your responsibility! It's not your fault this guy is crazy - he could go get help if he really wanted to be better, but he must enjoy it to some extent. Perhaps he just likes the attention he gets from it.

iv had 2 friends kill themselves and one thing they had in common was they didnt advertise it,and certainly not for a month.so if he was gonna kill himself believe me he would of done it by now.

the guy is just attention seeking and wants your woman....im afraid its that simple...my xs mom has been doin that for 10 yrs and shes still alive.

just go round and give him a hiding.....trust me it wont send him over the edge cus hes no where near it

iv had 2 friends kill themselves and one thing they had in common was they didnt advertise it,and certainly not for a month.so if he was gonna kill himself believe me he would of done it by now.

as a fire fighter/ medic i see suicide and suicide attempts on a regular basis.
i have never thought of their actions as a respect issue to me or to any one they love, but rather a desperate cry for help. Some times they get the help and some times they succeed at killing them self's.
To a person everyone that has attempted but failed at killing them self's is grateful for the help given and grateful for not killing them selves. be it a chemical imbalance or just self self pity the problem can be fixed and life can be what you desire it to be . one time and only one time did i wish the person had done the job right. i was called to the house of man saying he was going to kill him self and perhaps he should have as he had just raped his preteen daughter. For that man i have no respect but not due to his fake attempted suicide but more so for his behavior towards a child that loved him.

Seriously let him kill himself, Suicide is for pussies that dont have the balls to take life by the throat and make the most of it. People go through horrible shit all the time and bounce back, most of them end up even better off after something bad happens. I have absolutely no respect for anyone that even says they want to commit suicide. I knew a guy that commited suicide, and I wouldnt even go to his funeral.
