if you want to be realistic, any one who says a 250cc sports bike isnt fast enough for a first bike is stupid. 250s still fly.

huh? - you grow out of it in 2 weeks.
Plus, you'll always ride in the back of the pack...

Rode my brother's 06 R1, pretty quick. It's a lot of bike compared to the R6, but once you hop on you wont wanna get off.

my first crutch lol paid 1200$ for that beast was an 89 fzr 600 and in all honesty surprised the hell out of me. geared it high so i had alot of top end couldnt walk it for shit tho hit second gear and it would come down but still great/cheap starter bike

If youve never been on offroad/road toys before then id suggest a sport/touring style. go with something with a slighter longer wheel base.

ive been on 4 wheelers/jet skiis my whole life so i was very comfortable getting a 600 ninja. i bought this on saturday...

a 250 2 stroke is completely different the n comparing it to 4 stroke bikes. Also a 250 will feel fast when your on it riding all by yourself. But when your out with other bigger bikes it will be slow in comparison. Especially when someone blows past you with their girl on the back

you have points, but still everyone is a little bit stuck up on teh 250s theres nothing wrong with a 250 except the fact people are embaressed to say they have one, yeh 2 stroke cant compare to 4 fairly, but still its anouying to see so many people try and say 250s are slow and pathetic

They kinda are compared to every other bike. Sorry you nitrous shot adds more horse power then a 250 makes total

...if you weight above 180, you wont be able to get up the hill
Plus those tires man - like a Schwinn, and that exhaust pipe...
It's pretty embarrassing, well, not if you plan on riding by yourself.
