shoulder surgeory, dont care if its 1 million $
Anyone else messed up their rotator cuff?? Ive talked about this before.. but its seriously pi**ing me off bad!! .. I was doing chest today and was using 100lb dumbells for flat bench... my left arm was powering them up easy as can be.. but my stupid right arm like wants to fall away from my chest to the side.. and its like I have to roll my shoulder aroudn to push the weight up.. its freaking weird.. sometimes I just wont push anymore... pretty sad when you can only flat barbell like 250 because of it!!
Anyone had surgeory or therapy or a similiar situation before?@?! what was the outcome or fix for this.. was it costly??

You just will have to keep up on your therapy the rest of your life to prevent your rotator muscles from becoming weak again.

I have a torn rotator cuff..I saw one of the best specialist in my state and he said having surgery is no guarantee..Alot of people have surgery and worse than before or never quite back to normal...So he told me I'd be better off just doing physical therapy on my own with band..etc..I went to one pt session got my bands and she showed me how to do everything..I still have problems here and there but to me better than not knowing what surgery has in store..Talk to Doc.sust he is golde in this department!

i had a toren rotator cuff about two years ago now and just coming back. see your doc and listen to what they have to say my tear was large it would have never healed on its own.
my range of motion is just as good as it ever was but now and then i make a clicking sound. As for strength im about 50 % of what i was before the accident. Some of the weakness is due to fear , im holding my self back because i never want to hurt like that again, secondly with the 2 year lay off i lost a lot. Im just taken my time and rebuilding all of the muscles in my shoulder and in time i will let go of the fear and i hope to back even better than i was.
Good luck ,have you had an MRI yet to see what condition the tear is , is it partial and may heal its self in time or is it massive and require surgery to heal it. keep us posted.

If your benching 100lbs dumbells without any serious pain then i doubt you have a serious problem there.
Could be tendonitis or a stretch.

I had an MRI last year while working in KC, Kansas.. the film reader said there is a tear and smashed superintinamous tendon (im sure thats spelled wrong) .. At the time I changed jobs very soon and lost my insurance.. I had to wait a year (pre-existing injury clause) so now I have to start all over again and have a new MRI.. it kills me bad.. ANYTHING I do working over my head burns bad.. and I fatigue very fast.. When I do dumbells my left arm is like GIVE ME MORE!! but my right arm just lags horribly and without control almost.. same to some extent for military press.. its so fing irritating... and like I said it gets a deep burning sensation.. my right arm and pec are under-developed because of this.. not substantial .. but noticeable..
Whatever is decided.. I do NOT wanna lose a yr out of the gym.. that would kill me.. I just started a cycle 3 weeks ago.. the prop is kicking in and my body is saying lets go.. and its so mentally hard that I physically cant go..

Well you did tell us that part earlier, a smashed superspinatus Is what I think you meant. But thats a pretty big deal, much more serous and injury than a simple cuff tear. That will require a little bit longer therapy. You can still make it but typically in that surgery they have to relocate the tendon or completely rebuild it. My dad had that same surgery about a year ago and he is doing fine now. You can come back from it but you will not be benching 100 lbs dumbells for awhile afterwords.

5 AC Joint Seperations here between both shoulders, two horrible rotator cuff injuries, surgoery on one shoulder, and every day i want to take a knife and cut off both my shoulders. i been doing my therapy for years now. Same story over and over again. Price to pay being a hockey player though.

iv always seemed to have problems but i just put it down to having naturally little shoulders.
saw a doc a couple of years back and he told me to stop training and it would heal itself.
didnt listen to him and now i do have horrible pain right inside the joint in my right shoulder, only do very light military press to warm up.not ideal but id rather save my shoulder for a chest workout.
might need surgery in the not too distant future, not really bothered, cus this is england and we got nhs.lol
