Hey guys just wondering how many military people are in this forum, so if your military write a reply and are any of you stationed at Camp Lejeune.

I'm a veteran . . . does that count?
Vet of the USAF, spent all my time at Sheppard AFB, in sunny Wichita Falls, TX. Not the end of the world, but you can see it from there.
Last round of base closings, they shut this one down. It's just as well -- the major business out there is selling tornado shelters . . .Last edited by Tock; 02-20-2007 at 08:29 PM.

I use to go to the 1/4 mile track a lot, and liked going to Wayne's Dyno during his Dyno days. He would always have a BBQ going, just a lot of fun. Food, beer, cars, girls. Ahhh good times. I miss that stuff a lot these days.

There's a couple of other things that seem funny about the responses (something about join dates and responses maybe) If I'm wrong then oh well, just a few things seem odd

I was at sheppard for tech school a few years back, not exactly a thrilling place to be, but anything beat bmt. Their weight rooms were pretty decent though.

HA! 29 stumps! That place sucks. The Taco Bell is the best thing there. I stayed there for CAX as well. But we didn't have to stay at the EAF, we stayed in the BEQ, which was not that much better.

I'm surprised this thread only got 27 posts I figured there were more military/veterans on this forum. Are any of you guys wounded warriors? I was hit by an IED in the sandbox back in 2004. I got a purple heart but I almost feel like I didnt deserve it since I wasn't injured to the extent as some of the guys who get hurt over there. For those of you guys who served in any branch I thank you and the only reason I talk sh!t about the Marine Corp sometimes is because I served. Those people who talk sh%t about the military and never served drive me insane.

Im shocked that there isnt any other Canadian soldiers here. I personaly have a lot of respect for the US marines, I have done war games with them a couple times, and trained with them once. Hard workin men.

I never got a chance to work with any Canadian soldiers but I have worked with British Royal Marines, and the Australian Army. The Aussies are some of the funniest guys on the planet.

We did a Mountain Warfare training evolution with some British Royal Marines in Bridgeport, CA. They were cool dudes, we kicked there A$$ but they smoked us playing drinking games at the bar on base. I think they might have been reservist though, ha ha. Any British Royal Marines on here???

The Aussies said that when they deploy the first thing that gets unloaded from the plane is there "piss" which is what they call beer.

for a pint of beer they call it a bucket of piss and for a case they call it a carton of piss. And they all had a beer belly even the officers.
