picture help

ok i posted this question in the picture section as well, excuse the double post but im thinking i will get an answer faster in here.
ok i want to post some pictures in the picture forum but when i try and do so i get the message file to large, how can i fix this so i can upload to the site?
I am using a mac and iphoto . thanks very much. cj

Select the picture in iPhoto you want to downsize.

Go to the top tool bar click Share > Export.

Under Format change it from Original to Jpeg.

Under Size, select Scale Images no Larger than:

Change the number to something smaller maybe 800x600.

Click export, choose your file name and save to desktop.
