    How is that cool, or awesome, man thats depressing, whats the point of life if a computer can do more computing than the entire human race combined...were going to become so advanced and dependent on computers, that were gonna fall back into the stoneage, why become educated if all you have to do is purchase a 1000dollar computer to think for u?     Its possible because of Artificial Intelligence, computers will be self learning, we wont be inputing information into them anymore, they'll get on the web and do it themselves, then theyll spit that information back out at us, and well use it however we see fit. Its just like Terminator...people make these movies with a vision of how the future can be, and back in the 90's we didnt think it possible, but if you think about terminator...thats pretty much what COULD happen to us, its not that hard to believe, a super computer is built...it becomes vastly intelligent...we put it in control of everything because its intelligence surpasses us exponentially, and then it becomes self aware and can go ape shit, it might not happen the same way with robots and nukes n what not, but it could shut down the worlds entire infrastructure.

    on the china/india front, their quality of life is extremely poor for the vast majority of the population. who really cares if they end up having the strongest economy. the poverty in these places are dreadful.Its their military power that is scary,which i know goes hand in hand with wealth. Just dont be too paranoid living in the 2nd,3rd,4th or even 5th most powerful country in the world before you die,its going to happen, just enjoy living a good quality of life, like the rest of the developed world.
