    Arrow modern mass??

    Can anyone shead some light on why modern day bodybuilders have the ridiculous mass they do, i mean compared to the 70's where they actually looked good?

    What advances in drugs have caused it, and does anyone think it's return to the way it used to be, less freakish.

    I'v read alot that todays champions jus use alot more, or that its something to do with HGH.

    Just natural advancement like everything else in society. TOday we have more knowlege about nutrition and training than ever before.

    But the big reason why the pros look more freakish and massive today than the past was because of the discovery of IGF-1, and the use of HGH and insulin . The bodybuilders of the 60s, 70s, and early 80s didn't use HGH, or IGF-1 (as far as I know, at least).
