I played for about 10 years back in canada. what position are you playing?
my advice to you. don't get hurt.
outside center
run straight. wear a mouth guard
i don't play...but i love to watch it!! good luck
I played Rugby when I was 16/17, broke two bones in one game and vowed never to play again. Now I am planning my big return this Fall, with a nice big cycle for the season. Ohhh baby I can't wait!
Thanks that makes me feel greatOriginally Posted by Hoggage_54
I tore my right ACL, my left MCL, the medial meniscus in my right knee, Lost all 3 upper front teeth, 22 stitches in the head, 2 concussions where I lost my memory, one night in jail, shagged too many rugby trolls to count, and made some of the best friends of my life.
I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!
so you still alive? how did the tournament go?
i played from age 12 to 17
really great, rugby union. never injury or anything i got lucky, i was usually 2nd row somwhere or the wing or outside center depending if it was club or school game, i made alot of nice runs, good fun
like fenceguy said 'run straight'....dont be afraid to get hurt, its those that worry about it that usually get hurt....i play centre/wing for the DII state champs in TX....always make sure u play deep enough back so you can get a running start on the ball, catch it haulin ass and hit a gap, usually the tackler more than likely isnt gonna wanna hit u or theyre gonna try to grab u as u run by....just my 2 cents and also 'fenceguy'....your fvckin crazy....

aye, I used to play when I was younger, currently trying to get onto the mens team here in town. just for shits and giggles. I love playin rugby, been some time.
We lost our first game but won our second (not bad for being a team for less than a month). I realised i want to be a forward wing(flanker) Being a outside center bores me. My roommate separated his shoulder also.
I just saw this post.Originally Posted by tinyguy2

4 games, 0 losses

We also raised about a thousand bucks for St.Baldricks (Cancer) as well, and donated that at the tournament to my old Alma Matta, Seton Hall, who ran the fundraiser.
What team were you playing for, if you don't mind me asking?
