I have it myself and I think it has a lot of good information but on the other hand a lot of it is also outdated.
I have the updated one and I love it.
It's called the NEW encyclopedia of modern bodybuilding.
I purchased the original back in 1988 or 1990 I liked a lot.
great reference material...first book any BB should buy

I think its great. Sticks to the basics.
Entertaining to read, awesome pics, SOME good info if you know how to decifer between the good and bad, but other than that I look at it as pure entertainment. THe workouts in there would lead any normal human being to over traing, and most of the diet advice is very outdated and would cause many to become fat. Some of the contest advice is ok though.
I pretty much second this. It's entertaining but I wouldn't rely on it too much (unless you have Arnold's genetics, then it would be super).Originally Posted by spound

I bought that the encyclopedia after i read his "Education of a BodyBuilder". That book blew me away as a teenager, and I was hooked on weight training ever since. What's the diff b/t the old and new? Anyone have both?
ya i was wondering the same thing what exactly is the difference between the old and new, and what IS the bad stuff in the old ??
