By the way, i skimmed through the set. I liked what I heard, more electro-house, as opposed to him spinning heavy tribal like he did the other night when I saw him. I'm actually more into electro-house a little more, and the vocals on this set were good picks too. Thanks alot C-los.. send over some more stuff

SVT, Jonathan Peters is a New York based House music DJ. He has a large following of people who are obessed with seeing him spin at clubs. He was a resident DJ at Soundfactory in NYC for 7 years. (SF was probably the sickest house/trance music club in NYC for some time in the late 90's early 00's). IMO hes a little "overhyped" but either way he is considered one of the "best
DJ's in America", and New Yorkers go nuts over him. I went to see him at a club this Friday. It was good, nothing too amazing.. i actually went down to pacha later that morning and saw Danny tenaglia, which was a much better show.

JP Birthday at Copa - Blah - too many fat girls and lil kiddies - and he closed it really shitty
JP @ Nikki Beach - WMC - He walked off like an asshole and played crap
JP at Surf both times = crap and constantly wrecked
Thank God I didn't go to see him at his WMC performances at Space or Shelbourne this past WMC...
But yes - I was a total SF head back in the day and used to think he was God just like everyother NYC house head lol

JP runs hot and cold, but I agree with who ever above that his tribal sucs, it does, makes me want to go somewhere else, but if you catch him spinning some oldies its well worth it. Plus Factory puts on some good shows, Halloween is incredible party along with lingera party. S+M was a little much for me though, girls hanging from the ceiling from piercings just doesnt do it for me .
My favs:
Danny T
Sasha and Digweed
Victor C
Jason O (when he's at a good club)
DeepDish
Nice find Carlos. Also I heard the new stereo is sic, may have to hit the city up just to check it out. I heard all the amps are in a glass wall.

JP is a legend, but he has a reputation of being hot and cold lately. Saw him spin at surf club and he blew. Boris owns that crowd, and spins some crazy sets. But no one can take away those years at the SF. IMO no club can compare to it, it was our studio 54, there needs to be a SF movie maybe in 20 years!!!!

To the guys above, heh heh i was just playin bro. I know your outta the loop down there! Yea JP's been up here alot, they actually had him up at a club in Westchester this Friday. It was good, but not that great, no classics or familiar vocal tracks (im more into that). BUT i did go down to pacha afterwards and got to see Danny T.. and BIGUNS i gotta say hes now one of my faves too. His tribal was soooo dark and "dirty", it was great. And Calderone, I have his set from the conference last year (at Space), i LOVE it.

I encoded last nights set. It's much better than last weeks. It's 256 megs so I'm trying to find a file hosting service that's big enough to hold it.
