    wow wtf is this about

    so my friend can do an amazing feat...

    he weighs about 150-152 and he has a nearly non existant bodyfat...

    my muscle size is about equal to his if not bigger...

    yet today i saw him bench 275 3 times without assitance...

    how is this possible? i tried doing that much weight and i almost poped my eyes out of their sockets barely doing half of one rep

    He is stronger than you. Thats nothing really crazy at all. He isnt even doing double his bodyweight. Pretty average weight:lift ratio imo actually.

    some guys are just plain strong no matter what they look like. most of the ones that are strong have short limbs but i've seen a few tall thin guys with long ass arms and legs that can move some serious weight.

    i thought it was pretty amazing, so did everyone else in the gym, i mean for his size

    is he stronger then me because of better genetics? or am i just weak? or what

    there is this kid at my gym, weighs 150, deadlifts 6 plates and benches 225 18 times.

    you cant say this and actually mean it, a 150 guy doing 275 3 times is a lot, that means his max is probably around 300

    i agree. how many people can bench twice their weight? a hell of a lot less than say they can. that is very impressive.

    not only that, but he eats nothing but candy and fried foods too

    and i put on weight just looking at those foods

    yeah but I bet you'd rather look like you do now than look like your freind.....


    I know that Id rather look like me and have my sub-par max's than look like everyone else and lift as much as they do.....

    Are you training to body build or training to get stronger?

    I know the two go hand in hand but like someone pointed out, he might be stronger but does he look better than you?

    he is about the same size as i am, but he has a slightly bigger upper chest then me, other then that similar

    Some people are crazy strong. I see guys at the gym that are smaller than me that bench more than me. Likewise, I can squat more than most guys way bigger than me.

    275 for 3 at 150 lbs is impressive..for a light guy he is pushing good weight...i know guys that are 200 lbs work out religiously and dont push that weight...i wouldnt go so far as saying its some kind of physical anomally hah but its definately good...size and strength dont go hand in hand tho...hell the world records for weight lifted to bodyweight ratio are all held by 5 foot nothin 130 lb asian dudes..pure genetic freaks. a good compairison is me and my brother...were both around the same height, and around the same size when we are both training...yet he can row 315 for 16 clean reps....i can do 1/2 that...on bench, i could do 225 for 52 reps, and he cound do a around 1/2 that..why? because even tho we might have the same amount of muscle, its composition is different..so it makes sense that our strength doesnt match perfectly in every lift.
