how do you deal with idiots around you?

i think i've lost it today in the office... i've just been attacked by a group of fat and clumsy colleagues telling me how the "creatine" i'm taking is bad for me. the amount of food i'm eating is ridiculous and being big doesnt match me.

i've lost it in the moment when like about 6 ppl all together have started convincing me that sugar is not a carbohydrate... i've just walked out of the room

Don't argue with them, simply say "Well, if you don't think I'm right that's fine - but go take a look in the mirror, then look at me - end of conversation I'm doing something right"

i usually throw an insult out when that happens. i try not to, but i do have a snippy/abrasive attitude when i know im right and you say something stupid. you should also let them know that creatine can be found in red meat so stop eating steaks and burgers. Try one of these:

"you know obesity is the number one causes of preventable death in the united states"

"I hear heart attacks are fun.....your well on your way."

"Hey, say hello to diabetes for me when you get there"

"I cant wait to get to the beach this summer, how about you??"

    and the ever popular

"Look at me, look at you"

in a work environment its tough, where i work we are all in shape and we still call each other fatty or names like that. "yo take the stairs bro, you need it"

Ask them if they want to join you in the gym, or do a little running after work. See what the reaction is. I do that just to see the dumb ass looks on their faces as most of them think up excuses, but one or two might join you...

Deep down, some really want to get into shape, they just dont ahve a clue on how to begin or what to do, so offer to help them out.

I am right with you...my most recent conversation was with a guy who's wife is a nurse and he was arguing with me about protein intake and how I really only need 15-20g per day!!!

I like the advice above about surrounding yourself with like minded people, but at work I do not have the luxury either.

sadly a lot of training knowledge has become worthless "bro" knowledge.

one can cut on a lower protein intake and a higher carb intake. REST encourages growth more than any activity. and FOOD is the most anabolic thing you can put in your body.

there is so much high quality knowledge out there but all that gets passed around is the B.S. that some douchebag with the last name of jones goes around telling his skinny, or better yet, his fat frat brothers worked for some guy who has good genetics yet no abs. ****ing dudes man.

hand them a business card or your phone number. then say, "when you have your first heart attack or when your physician tells you that you need to exercise and diet...you can call me."

(optional) then you can add... "and when you call me i'm going to remind you of every rude comment you've made to me, and i'll probably make fun of you. thanks."
