had a nightmare, and need advice
my mum bought me a new fazer gsx(lol gsx, not a real bike)
i was shocked and moaning nooo not a new fazer, i wanted A GSXR... u coulda atleast got me a r6.. and we went back to the bike store to return it for gsxr, she even was going to cut her loss and sell it 2nd hand with 0km on the clock..
so i got a gsxr1000 and i was so happy rideing it
then i wokeup and i was glad i didnt have a fazer.... but sad no gsxr1000
there was a r6 at my local store, i went for it but it was sold before i could come back... i want a gsxr soooooo bad..
i dont know if i should go for a 600/750/1000... my current bike is 35hp
powerban kicks in at 8k and pulls like a train... ive got it up to 170km so far
also my bike coughed and splatterd yesterday, and made a real bad smell... i guess i shouldnt have a passanger on the back that weighs 200lbs.. while i weigh 170ish.
my bike weighs about 275

a 600 is PLENTY! i promise. you learn to ride a 600 and hang with the 1000's thats when you know you're good 1000's just have to much power man im 210 lbs and i can ride with 1000's all day in the twisties yea you hit a straight and they'll pull on you but they cant ride/manuever any faster on the back roads. not to mention ur new to this lol a 1000 is outta ur league. i dont like 1000's cuz when u go into turns and what not if you get on it to hard they have sooooo much power the ass end will break lose really easily i never cared for that, granted i know how to control it its just uneccesary. a 600 u get get into it a lil harder and not have to worry.

these are your options.........shoot yourself......or get sports car and ditch your highly dangerous glorified bicycle......and yes....i know plenty of cars that can beat stupid little crotch rockets.....and instead of a 10000% chance of you dying if you crash on a crotch rocket it's only about 90% in a very fast car..........that is all

it takes a while to learn the ways of the road when you are young.

also i sat on and looked at a gsxr750 98 model and its far too big compared to the new models.. the fuel tank is huge.. the front end is too big and the back seat and body kit is chunky, altho i didnt get to ride it. im sure its a ton harder to ride and less handeling then a newer model

Get a 600 fosk. I HAD an r1 for about 3 weeks. and now its gone it was a great bike but way to much power for me. I ended up getting rid of it, sold it and bought a 03 gsxr 600 40th aniversery addition. and its not at fast but i swear its more torquey and u can put those things sidewards and they just stick to the road, its insane. do yourself a favor and grab a 600.

Bro if you get a gsxr 1000 you will be no longer posting.
Or breathing

A good rider can ride any thing. I dont feel the tank plays a role your rideing abilty. But what do i know i only been rideing for 20 years.
Bro you need to work your way up the ranks. It's like a cycle you dont just jump on test susp and tren right. So the same goes for a 1000 you need to work your way up to it.

yesterday a work van pulled out infront of me... my brakes just couldnt stop me, i took it nice and steady, till the point i realised i wasnt going to stop.. then i hit the brakes hard and the back half just went sideways.. then i realised i still wasnt going to stop so i tried to move to side... but i just didnt release brakes fast enough.
i saw the van hundreds of meters away, i kept looking and thinkin if he coming or not. i started to slow down cause he wasnt coming, then i was like hey im too close he wont come.. then thats when he decided to come...
itd just turned red the light, so he turned onto road just before it blocking the light... i cracked his back taillight, see i went over the handle bars and hit his car.. the bike didnt hit it.. i really want a 600, brake alot better.. my bike has busted side mirror and some body kit up there.. the front plastic garud over the screen is moved and bumps my brake fluid thing. the passanger seat came apart.. the taillight smashed.. i hope its just cosmetic damage.. the rest is fine.

Thread said you wanted advice:
How about this:
1. Get a job
2. Move out on your own
3. Start buying your own stuff
4. Stop sponging off Mommy

I don't like your disrespect to the R6. That's what I ride. Done lots of things to make it a little faster, but still.
I can smoke most liter and 750 bike in the twisties. ESPECIALLY GSXR's. GSXR's by and large are squid magnets. The VAST majority (in the US) of GSXR riders are either squids who THINK they are fast, posers or stunter wanna-be's who can only pull a 100 yard power wheelie.
If I ride a road with a liter bike that has adequate straights, they typically close the gap and keep me in sight there. But otherwise, they keep falling back and back and back and back. . .usually withing a 1/2 mile you won't even catch a glimpse of them.
600's are fun, plenty fast, forgiving and LOTS of fun. I am 223lbs and can eat most liter bikes on twisties.
It is VERY VERY difficult to find a liter bike with an owner that can actually ride it. They just have so much power that can get away from you so eaisly and it takes a lot of skill to keep up corner speed and charge out of a corner without loosing it.
After 17 years of riding, I can't ride a liter bike near as fast as a 600 ot 750. But I gave up 750s once kaw stop making the ZX7R and ZX7RR. I refuse to buy a gixxer.
Maybe the new MotoGP rules will breath life into the middle weight consumer bike again!!!
Oh, pulls like a train at 8k? WOuld that be a Lionel or a Tyco?
Get a 600. It will kill you just as dead and just as quick. You grab a handful of throttle on a 1000 and well, YOU will be dead. Because you have NO IDEA what a train REALLY pulls like.
