My Missing friend: Eddie Gibson

He's been missing in Cambodia for around 2.5 years now. 3 years this Oct, I think now. There has been a litttle bit of TV, radio coverage over here in the UK and local area where he lived. Also been on Sky News a few months back.

There are also many posters etc...In Embasy's and Airports in Thailand, Australia, Cambodia etc...

I believe there is now a $20,000 reward leading to his safe return.



I know its a long shot. But if anyone travels over there, keep an eye out.

Its rather strange actually.

He almost wanted to be 'missing'. He gave signs that he didnt want to be found at the moment. For example, he didnt respond to certain emails, even though they were marked as 'read'. He also used aliases at certain places.

But...It doesnt all fit. He was a familly man, somone that was close to his familly, brothers etc...So why the hell would you just vanish? The trail has gone cold.

Poeple he associated with were involved in gangs/drugs etc...So, he may have fallen out with them or someone and been silenced. Thats the reality of it now I think.

Yep...i remember him,but anyways is terrible when somebody of you close family is missing and you dont have a clue where or what happend to him/her.

yeah could be or anyone could have read his email. if he has wanted to vanish i guess thats better than the alternative hopefully hes ok.its hard to say in some countries you just vanish but we ll hope for the best

I make it over to Cambodia once in a while. It's a different kind of place, that's for sure. You can feel the history of the place when you are there, if that makes any sense. Everyone was affected by the Khmer Rhouge or knows someone who was. I've had some very strange experiences in that country, stuff that just doesn't happen in most normal places. But, that's to be expected in this part of the world.

Sorry to hear about your friend, I'm sure the real story is out there and it's crazier than you might imagine. I'll hit you up with a pm if I head out there in the near future.
