    Summer classes

I have a question regarding summer classes. I am debating on taking Organic II over the summer. My question is since organic is a hard class, would taking it over the summer be harder/easier with you have experience taking summer classes?

as long as you go to class, IMO its easier, cause theyll cut out any extraneous information that isnt vital to the course. you get really set back if u miss a day tho.

I'de say harder, Most of all summer classes are condensed due to the short summer semester, therefore if you are going to be taking night classes, or saturday classes, your classes will typically be twice as long......And well, since summer IS around the corner, you just need to weigh out your free time.....

P.S. Im taking Legal Aspects of Real Estate this summer, biting the bullet....
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 hour classes at night, (community college)

***ends on the prof you get. you got a 50/50 shot.

I had a bunch that were great, they had kids home and let class out early almost every day to go do their own shit (and only tested you on the material they covered) and others who were dicks.

take a look on ratemyprofessor.com and see if you can dig up any info on the person teaching the class before you sign up.

generally speaking tho, i always did better in summer classes then in teh spring or fall.

***ends on what you plan on doing.

If your gonna be a chemical engineer, then no, dont take it in the summer. Save it for the long semester, therefore you will have a better base and foundation of knowledge that you will need in the future.

But if its like a blow off class, just trying it get it out of the way, then take it, lol like how Im doing with English 2.

i think summer classes are easier....you can get a class done in 3 weeks rather than taking a whole semester to get it done.........my friend is taking summer classes and he says since its only 3 weeks they go strictly by the book and just have tests only instead of projects and papers that they would have if they had the class for a whole semester....

I've always thought that Summer classes are more difficult due to the fact they review a higher volume of material in less time. In my experience this has equated to more material to study in less time. If by <Organics II> you mean Organic Chemistry II, I have never met anyone who had an easy time in Organic Chemistry, I took a year of Engineering chem and how I passed that is still a mystery to me. On the plus side, alot of girls commute away from their primary school to take hard to get classes during the summer, IMO, they don't know as many people and are looking to meet new people more readily. Good luck.

if the prof decides to carry out the class based on the ***artments standards... it will be harder. they will have to cover all the same info in a shorter amount of time and it could be overwhelming.

if the prof writes their own tests and decides to teach only a selected portion it will be easier.

    like someone said 50/50.

if you are a good student, get it out of the way...
    if not... then not.

Easier from my experience. I took structure and function, which is a 5 credit course that basically packs anatomy and physiology 1&2 into one giant class. It was pretty easy to do during summer and it made me grateful because I couldn't imagine that class with 3-4 other classes... fk that!

I'm taking human physiological chemistry this summer!

I took a bunch of undergrad classes during the summer. They were cake for the most part, but the classes weren't hard to begin with. I tried one in law school and dropped it quick. Too much to comprehend in a short period of time especially with work and family.
