HAHAHAHA you won't be getting away with doing a cycle in AIT... You think AIT is much different from basic??? Anyways congrat's on finishing basic :-) I myself did OSUT (basic//ait together). I lost about 20 pounds when I was in training too, gained back those 20 pounds in a heartbeat (approx a month) and have been steadily gaining since then.

Dude you could lose a lot more than rank and pay. Both of which, at this point, aren't exactly things you have a lot of. At AIT I think it's way to risky. I never had AIT, my training was set up differently, but at AIT you still have drill sergeants calling all the shots and escorting you guys everywhere and generally controlling your lives to a good extent.

You're not in the regular army yet dude. Even then, when you get to your unit, I'd give it a good six months before I would even consider juicing. That gives you enough time to make a good name for yourself and get people off your back. A new private all of a sudden getting juiced sounds like a recipe for you getting fvcked. Believe it or not, there will be people on your team that are happy to see people go down. That's why I say give it some time and get a feel for the situation. You get caught with gear and it's not rank and pay you will be worried about, you will get kicked out with a bad discharge, especially as a new soldier. No second chances.

Congrats, but don't be foolish. Take a year and get your bearings before making a decision. So far, I've read nothing but good advice in the previous 4 posts - you've got a lot more to lose than just rank/pay. Imagine how much mass you'll lose making big rock into little rock...
