    Hillbillies?

Anyone from the Ozarks? I was born and raised in Mountain View, 'bout 25mi from West Plains Missouri. Went to Willow Springs school and worked in the log woods with my shithead brother till we couldn't stand each other any more sold the equipment and I moved to the flatlands of westcentral Missouri. Miss the hills though. something about being out where everyone can see me for miles makes me feel naked. I also have formulated the opinion that flatland rednecks are dumber than the ones from the hills. (though we are all stupid)Anyway... Been there? Heard of it? Maybe live there???

i've driven through the ozarks many many times and i think it's really nice country but i don't know about hillbillies from that region. you want to see real hillbillies? try eastern kentucky, you'll know what hillbillie means if you ever go there.

I have to agree kentucky is a pretty uncivilized in places. I know they were still having fueds in the 70's. Hek... maybe they still are!? As far as hillbillies in the ozarks of southern mo and northern ark I can promise you there are plenty I've seen plenty of stuff and done plenty of stuff that would make jeff foxworthy shake his head. I will say that southern missouri is slowly making its transition out of the dark age but it is still within the top 5 hillbilly places in the US

My parents retired in the Ozarks of Arkansas yeah it's nice because of the scenery but I have run into quite a bunch people out there that got short changed when God was handing out brains.

In high school, we had this fat chick move from Arkansas to here (Ontario), and she was 100% hillbilly. She told us a story about this one time on her way to school, the bus driver pulled over to shoot a raccoon that was off in the distance... WTF?!?!?

The first summer I went to visit my parents I took off at night to hit this so-called strip club and steak house right outside of the University of Arkansas I swear to God these girls had NO Business being up on that stage. It was such a turn-off.

I didn't have many toys growing up. My enviornment provided the things any redneck would need though. Me and my brother tied a pedal 4-wheeler to his shetland pony when I was about five. He then convinced me that I needed to try er out (I wasnt gullable I was just curious myself) One thing you must remember and every 5 year old hillbilly should be told...
    SHETLANDS CAN HAUL ASS!!!
The more noise that plastic atv made the faster that horse went! I didnt last too long, just to the gravel road. The poor horse dissappeared over the horizon. We found her the next day about a mile away she was alright but the 4 wheeler was nowhere to be found.
Lets see... I shot the kitchen table while cleaning a pistol. I got 2nd and 3rd degree burns from blackpowder trying to "smoke" a squirrel out of a tree. I broke my foot in two places while swinging off the roof of the trailer house on a ratchet strap I had fastened to a tree. My brother cut a tree down on me... Twice! During my vandalistic years we went to town one night and sat up on an overpass over 60/63 hwy with a potato gun. I'll never forget the sound those taters made upon impacting a semitrailer! I remember one turkey season a game warden came by and said someone had reported that I had shot a turkey out of season. I hadn't but anyway... While he was seaching the deep freezer here comes my beagle with the head of a dead duck in its mouth my brother had shot the day before. "You know anything about this" The game warden asked. "Nope. Damn dog must have drug it up from someone elses place!
To my amazment he pursued it no further.
When I was 7-12 we would have bb gun wars with live ammo and bottle rocket wars on the fourth of july and I somehow still have both my eyes. I started chewing skoal when I was 13. I only managed to quit this february. I could go on forever at the retarded things I have done. Looking back I am amazed I am alive and no missing appendages at that!

man that's some good stuff! it made me think of all the sh*t we done as kids. we had many bb gun and bottle rocket fights too and amazingly no serious injurys occured. we also had a homemade tree swing and i did get some stiches from it and we also had a potato gun lol. we lived way out in the country when we had it so we didn't have any semi's to shoot at but there were many cats for target practice. we used to catch all the frogs and horny toads we could get ahold of on the 4th of july and that night we would stick m80's in their mouths and blow them little bastards to pieces. those were the days.

I lived way out in the country too we had to drive 10 miles to the nearest town. We used to make our own firecrackers out of 30-30 win. casings and empty Co2 cartidges. When we touched em off we had to hide behind the nearest tree to get away from the scharapnel! If we would have done that in todays time we would probably go to jail but all the adults seemed to think it was just normal kid stuff!lol

I love the Ozarks. They have some of the best highways in the world for motorcycling and sports cars. I have too many stories about hillbillies too list but all in all they aren't too bad, except for hillbilly h e r o i n e and m e t h. Those are the worst. I really like the Buffalo river valley it is a very popular destination and allthough it is not the Colorado Rockies, it is still a very beautiful region.

Yes sir'eee Bob. Roots firmly planted in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Although I didn't grow up there I have generations of history and own property there. Got the best blowjob of my life from a woman so damned ugly she could have passed for a mule on propecia. No shit I aint ashamed to admit it either. God bless the "Elbow Room." I miss that place.
