whats happened is windows resore has backed up ur data including the virus/trojan, ok first try the easy thing and empty ur recycle bin and rescan if its still detecting a virus follow these steps

first right click my computer>properties>system restore tab>check the turn off system restore box>ok>apply

then open any folder>tools>view>select 'show hidden files and folders' radio button>then uncheck the box 'hide protected operating system files'>ok>apply

then go to mycomputer>drive c> there youll see a ghosted folder called system restore information right click it>properties>security>add ur username to the permissions box>ok>apply

then delete the system restore information folder and reboot

do a scan the virus/trojan should be banished forever, now u can turn system restore back on and put the folder view settings back if u wish

oh yeh the avg link http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ its a cool app and free everyone i know uses it,except u that is

the best thing to do if you DO have viruses is to do a fresh OS install otherwise you will never completely get rid of them
