    LapTop

    bros,
i am not really keeping up with technology all that in general, but for my work i need to get a lop top where the screen should be 12"-to-13" with a wireless card. Those f'ckers put me on call ones a month and I am not gonna seat entire week @ home since i gots shit to do outside work.

Are there any sites that provide good feedbacks on the products. i was looking at Sony / Dell and a few others, but have no clue whicj one to go with.

feel free to give me your feedbacks or just point me to where the geeks hangout...

why do majority of laptops have Windows Vista and not plain XP OS?....I am looking for something simple and am thinking of going with Dell XPS M1330.

Is Dell any good overall for Laptops, shit i get mixed reviews?

spoke to Dell and they informed per customer request they can either install Vista or XP on "Dell XPS M1330". I've been using Windows 2K and XP primarily and don't know shit about Vista. Should i just stay safe and roll with XP?

Personally I'm going to stay with XP until they stop offering updates for it, I figure if it does what I need it to there is no sense in changing. Vista may be great, I don't know, but im still satisfied with XP.

    Bros,
Should i get the Intel chip or the AMD Turion chip instead. From what i gather Intel heats up quickly and the fans are contently running where AMD produces much less heat and even quicker over Intel.

I see majority of laptops with Intel chips though. Which one to go with, any suggestions?

Stay away from Vista for the time being. It's buggy and sucks.

all of microsoft's os's are buggy

id go with vista because it is putting your money where the current os is because in about 4 years M$ will quit supporting xp

myth... Intel does go faster at there higher end processors...but the fact of the matter is, you are talking very MINOR speed difference. Go to www.tomshardware.com and read a little.

I'd do amd in a laptop just because of the price...but if price isn't an issue...go intel

    Myth... nope

the only diffrence in a x6800 top of the line processor and a t7200 is how the chip is binned to that speed they are the same EXACT processor. IT just depends on how intell wants to bin the chip and they disable half the l2 cache on the lower end processors!
