    ultra sound

    If i was to have a ultra sound on the liver how much damage and what sort would it show.

    unless your liver is completely calcified, you have some serious bruising, or some sort of tumor...i doubt anything will show up on an ultrasound....x-ray or MRI might be another story though

    So what your trying to say is only something serious would show up on a ultrasound.

    pretty much, ultrasounds can really only show differences in density(weather it be from fluid or scaring/tumor)...if there isn't a large enough differentiation most likely nothing will be picked up

    Im just having some pains under my right ribcage. Ive had a blood test done , results are on monday an was just wondering would an ultrasound show anything if i was to have one.
