    Best Strength Retainer After Ceasing?

I am a hair under 6' and around 180-185 lbs. I have exactly one year to cycle. I have a high metabolism. Looking big is not important to me as much as strength and keeping that stength once I stop cycling. I'm tough enough, now I need more to back it up with especially in a stamina sense.
Test c, e, and p I notice don't have good strength retention probabilities and it seems like everything that does retain strength after you cease use has shitty gains to begin with. I'm not expecting some kind of miracle serum. I would simply like to hear opinions on what would be the best strength gained/strength kept option. My goal at the moment is benching 400 curling 250 and coming in first place at a marathon. I doubt if I get it done by next July but by God I'm gonna try!

Power lifting/ marathon runner Big task! I would do one goal at a time to maximize my chances at both just my 2 cents.

This is a highly unrealistic goal and somewhat of a silly post. I say pick one or the other. What is your aas experience? Have you ever met a marathon runner? Have you met someone who can bench 400 lbs? They have very little in common. The more muscle you have the quicker you gas in endurance feats. Pick one or the other and go from there.

Wow, a lot of aggression right there. Good luck meeting your goals, and I admire you setting the bar high, but I'm sure you realize that not a lot of marathon runners could bench 400 or curl 250. The mass required to do that would really work against you in the run, hell look how much less aerodynamic you would be

Thanks for not pissin' in my cheerios. This is my greatest goal! Stew Smith (military fitness trainer/former seal) is the perfect example of who I want to be! He is a hard ass motivated individual who has achieved this through years of training. He frowns on any supplements other than natural. Even creatine! I'm just hoping to speed up the process!

I would hold back on the attitude since all your going to get from that is suspended.

Now for your goals. Like stated above, benching 400 curling 250 ok that can happen but running a marathon at the same time, Not going to happen.

Sorry, man but we try to act like grown ups around here. Do what you want and then get back with us. However, to answer your question about retention, that has everything to do with PCT. And if you are wanting to be like your idols, I suggest doing it the hard way, like they did, because that is how they got where they are.

as some one who can bench over 400 and curl at least 250, there is no way i could run a marathon....not because i am outta shape or anything, but because i am not trained for it and if i did train for it i would have to sacrifice the other...i think you could run marathon but you would sacrifice the bench/curl numbers...also you could get to the bench/curl numbers but will have to sacrifice the marathon a bit....up to you...secondly i am your height and about 115 pounds heavier, now you are going to need more than one or two cycles to get that strenght imo, and more than a year of time also....your diet will need to be perfect as well as training and every factor will need to be in place in order for this to become even close and i am just talking bench/curl here...good luck but i would choose one or the other and go for it balls out....as for the cycle, its all about pct...

Lastly, lose the attitude or you will be suspended or banned....if you dont like someones advice then by all means tell them that, just be mature about it....please...

I hope you can forgive me for being so crude! I tend to get emotional when people take a dump on my ideas. I respect your opinion and I agree that what I want is a stretch. It has been done before (example: stew smith) and I will do it myself one day. It will be hard! Also, I'm talking about 10-15 mile marathon not a triathalon. Maybe I used the wrong word? I seem to be good at that lately!

you cant be a cross country/marathon runner and a powerlifter, "a jack of all trades is a master of nothing". you want to press 400lbs? pm me, i will teach you . you want to run a marathon, sorry cant help you there, also curling isnt really a strength movement, some powerlifting orgs. have started a curling competition, but it isnt really catching on.

my advice for cycles, what works for me, dont go longer than 12 wks at a time and do proper pct and you will keep more gains
