I think they get like 60-70k a year, and more if you sell drugs to the immates. but, it isn't fun and it can be dangerous.

well i know the lieutenant there. thats who is going to get me in, and he told me that they have to let people go all the time cause they bring shit in for the inmates. i told him not to worry about that cause i wouldn't do shit for them. they will all think i'm an asshole probably cause well thats just my personality in person.

haha my mom's ex bf is in the prison right next to it right now. the one i might work at is a privately owned prison, meaning its not federal. i'm sure i would run into old friends and enemies too actually. you know my background somewhat LOL

You still have to go through training and shit like that and the intense background check and even medical check I think that is just standard procedure...

My friend also left his job of being warehouse manager to become a CO.

He had to leave to Sacramento for several months to be in the Academy, had to do the month long background check, medical check, and writting test to even get the authorization to apply to get into the academy. Thats why I was asking if you knew everything that it took.
