do you condisder deads to be a back or a leg excercise primarily? i.e. where do you put them in your routine?

i do traps with shoulders for right now.cant do deads bad lower back but i used to do them on back day

i do deads on leg day. in fact I always alternated between squats and deads. they really are a strange lift. they could almost go into their own day all alone. couldn't you see it... 8 - 12 sets of deads w/ 2-3 minutes between every couple weeks and you'd be done for sure... after warm-ups of course
