Poll on quality of advice + posts
Well, in response to my other thread I just thought it worth starting a poll to see what direction members think this site is going. Specifically, I am talking about the quality of advice being handed out.
I wear my heart on my sleeve, so I'll start:
I feel that the quality of advice has gone down a little. I think this is because:
The number of newbies has gone up in proportion to the number of experienced members
There are less experienced members
The same old questions are coming up again and again (so people get tired of giving out the same answers)
That said - I aint leaving this site. Still some hardcore good fellas around and that's why I stay.

Well I've only been here since January so I do'nt know how it was before. I notice that if you read alot, the gems of good advice is here to be found. I would appreciate more educational threads started by Vets, Mods, Admins ect., and hearing what they have to say in general, along with responding to others questions.

In all honesty though, I've only been here since April, but I always see great threads and help from the mods/vets. I've lost count of how many times a day Sman and the others ask for STATS (diet, weight, cycle history, goals etc) and I think a lot of the post quality problems are due to the fact that people dont even give out the proper information needed to be helped. Lots of people are instantly offended when they are told they shouldn't cycle or arent ready, so the attitude on a thread can downgrade very quickly.
All in all though, for the amount of members here, the intelligent members, mods, and vets do a great job. cudos to you all.

hmmm it has gone down quiet a bit I'd say, but there are still good peeps here and thats all that matters. Hopefully some new people can step up to the plate and make this place all that it should be!

Do you guys feel that vets /mods have more knowlage than monitors ? I guess what I am asking guys , do you guys respect a vet/mod status more than one of a monitor? I am just wondering because other boards have Smods / vets/ mods but dont have monitors .. This is just I personal question I have been wonerding for awhile ???

dont know about everyone else but to me it all depends on the person. When you have a special title like that it gets some respect and you tend to pay more attention to what they have to say if they are giving out nothing but good advice and bringing nothing but good things to the board then no I dont see a difference.

Personally, our title is just honorary as far as I am concerned and means NOTHING as far as our knowledge goes.
Monitors just take extra time and watch over the threads to make sure rules are not broken....which ANY member can do and report.
BUT it does seem that most in the Monitor Position, have a decent knowledge base for this stuff......

I would think the vets and mods have their titles for a reason, which is often demonstrated by all. Knowlege is a key factor in this board, obviously the mods and vets represent some of the most helpful/knowlegeable as well as providing the eagle eye over the forum.

Which title, the monitor or vets?
any member can report threads or posts that are bad just by using the red triangle in the post. That is why I say, being called a Monitor is only honorary since we do it sooooo much......
and YES there are members with NO title that give decent advice too
Problem with pewntang is he is just a WHORE and spends too much time in the whore threads.......LOLOL
