    How fast is your Internet?

    I usehttp://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php to check how fast my connection is. I use the Smarttest. It gives the most accurate readings.


    Here is my test from tonight:

    Download Speed is:: 1376 kB/s
    Tested From:: http://testmy.net/ (Main)
    Test Time:: 2007/08/11 - 11:08pm
    Bottom Line:: 197X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 0.74 sec
    Tested from a 12160 kB file and took 8.839 seconds to complete
    Download Diagnosis:: Awesome! 20% + : 94.81 % faster than the average for host (comcast.net)

    With cable modem i get:

    Download Speed: 10180 kbps (1272.5 KB/sec transfer rate)

    I got 7Mbps down so about 650kb/sec and upload at about 40kb/sec with my cable. I can't wait till they get some damn fiber optic internet in my area, get some 30Mbps down speeds.

    I have cable, 10MB down and 1MB up. I can't post test results right now though because I have some torrents running. I usually get just a touch more on the down and dead on for the up.

    I can't wait for them to get fifos here. I have heard there are packages as high as 50/10.

    Wow, it's expensive there. A guy I work with that lives in Virginia got the 30/5 service and it only cost him $49.99. I was totally jealous too! I think he said 50/10 was $75 there.

    100/10 would be insane. I'd have to upgrade my NIC's, switch, and get a different box to run my OpenBSD gateway on, so my LAN could keep up. That's a connection that would make me squirt in my pants!

    I am using 2mbps Broadband Connection... My Uploading speed is 0.181 Mbps and Downloading speed is 3.587Mbps, i checked my internet Uploading and Downloading speed at Scanmyspeed.com
