How to disconnect the Nintendo Wii from the net

Can someone tell me how to disconnect my nintendo Wii from the net???

Ever since i connected it, the power LED stays yellow when it's off and sometimes the blue light stays on where the disc goes in even though the cosole is OFF.

i know it's not a big deal but i want it to go red when it's off, i and i don't want that blue light to stay on unless the console is on.

    Thanks guys

Its part of the Wii Connect 24. Console is always techincally on, being updated if net is connected and etc. Only way to have it off-off is unplug the thing from the outlet.

I can't find the dang things. My kid wants one and so do I, but the stores here are sold out the day they arrive.
