Marriage?

I just got back with my girl about 6 weeks ago. We dated for about 7 months and broke up for about 2 months. i bought her a regular ring as a gift but had to exchange it. I told her the only other rings i saw that i liked were engagement rings. Just joking around. She asked why i didn't buy one? Out of no where last week she is hinting about getting engaged. She brought up that she should meet my family soon. It kinda weird from her she is very independent and has her own life. She isn't the type to tell you i love you and i miss you. Also she is only 22. I'm 30 so i wouldn't mind getting married in the future.

Dint know what my point is. I'm just shocked from her.

I think marriage is a great thing, I got married when I was 21, and I wish I was older when I did, but I would still want to be married to my wife.

My parents where engaged after dating only one month, they where 19. Now 30 years later they are still married.

that was the girl i was engaged to. We tried again while i was on the break from this Russian. Me and her don't even talk anymore

Bro before you think about getting married to some girle you need to know her inside and out. I dont think anyone should get married unless you know them for 4 years or better.

I don't agree with the 4 years but def. longer then what we have now.

We broke up mostly because of me. I started to talk with my ex and i wanted to be with her. I Started to be distance myself from this girl and eventually we broke up.

She wants to work. I said that and she said maybe when she has kids she would stay home but never with out.

She wants to finish school to be an interpreter

Listen G she's to young and marriage today has a 50%fail rate your probably a good looking dude and nothing is more valuable then making decisions based on you and only you.Once someone else in your life has say on what you do ,life just isn't as fun anymore.I had a kid really young and I learned that life is too short to have givin someone else the ability to affect the course of your life.Your 30 and probably feeling a bit like you should be married and that's normal but it's a big decision but it's a bad decision with someone 8 years younger then you.Good luck.

Don't get married to a girl that young. She is going to go through some changes the next couple years. Marriage seems to make a relationship worse too. Plus the legal aspect of it. You really need to research the legal implications of marriage. The man gets the shaft. Just have her move in. I think you'll be happier that way. But if you are anything like me, you aren't going to listen. You'll end up learning it the hard way like I did.

I think you are moving WAYYY to fast. Why do some people feel this need to validate their relationships with marriage? Not saying this is the case here but just speaking in general.

I would say if you think you are ready to move on in your relationship first try living together for a year or two. You really don't know someone until you live with them.

If it's right, it's right. People that say don't get married have obviously had a bad experience and vice versa.

Me personally, I'm dating a girl and I'm serious but I'm waiting to finish school and have an income before I'm engaged.

forever is a long commitment. Marriage is in shambles nowadays, I would tread carefully. Takes a long time to know a girl inside and out, spend that time. Its much better to know everything about someone than to be blindsided out of the blue one day.
