    Washing hat in dishwasher

I have a hat that I have worked out in for like 2 years. It is black and has developed a nasty white sweat ring around it. Can someone tell me how to wash it in the dishwasher? Do you use dish detergent? Do you just set it in there, or do you have to have a hat holder thing like seen on tv?

lol, i use to have the same thing. It helps keep the shape of the hat so it doesn't get that "floppy" look but as stated above you dont want to use hot water.

you could do that or be real ghetto like I used to do... put a shoestring through and and have it dangling in the washer with the other half of the string hanging out and do the same for the dryer so it doesnt get all tossed around in the washer and dryer

Thats what I was thinkin. I throw my hats right in the washer with my clothes it seems to do the job well. Then let it dry on a door knob.

Sweet I went out and bought one of those hat holders, then sprayed it with spray and wash and put it in washing machine. It looks fantastic now.
